Hello and welcome to YFS.
As a practicing falconer myself, I know that the equipment we use for our feathered friends is one of the most important things that we have on our minds.
Back in 2016 I decided to start a falconry equipment website, it all started with making the simple everyday items such as leather jesses and leashes. Once I had enough funds to invest, I started buying products from overseas factories but with the aim to add more British suppliers where I could. It was not an easy start or easy task entering a competitive industry as a young man at only 16 years old. I had big dreams and ideas of what I wanted to achieve.
Due to working in the falconry/display industry I have used most products that were available for falconry over the last 10-20 years. I saw the positives and negatives to many different styles of equipment with many raptors in a very busy and hard-wearing environment. With over 150 birds under our care, from Pygmy Owls up to Stellers Sea Eagles we can easily test equipment to their limits and learn from it. With all that in mind, I started to create and design equipment to suite our own personal needs and took note on the products I trusted and hoped to stock for my customers in the future. I use most of the products you see on our website on a daily basis, they have been tried, tested and trusted. We have continued with product development as there Is always room for improvement and have always said that I would not sell any product that I would not be happy using myself with my own birds.
Our aim has always been to stock as many UK made products where possible. We are incredibly proud to work with a hand selected group of craftsmen and women which are truly at the top of their game in this unique industry and field.
A highlight for us in 2024 was adding products that we have created and designed alongside leading manufactures such as Keith Wakefield. We added new lines such as the slim fit falconry vest, micro side bag and the very popular British Racing Green Collection. With over 37 combined years of being in the falconry industry we truly believe that we know what our customers want and need.
We have supplied many independent falconers over the years but also falconry centres and zoos in the UK and worldwide. We are very proud to supply organisations such as Warwick Castle, Glen Eagles and Estelle Manor also Birds of Prey Centres including Eagle Heights, National Centre for Bird of Prey, Hagley Falconry Centre, World of Wings, Loch Lomond and The Hawk Conservancy Trust just to name a few.
